NextGen America on the Dobbs Anniversary

In response to the one year anniversary of the Supreme Court overturning abortion rights, NextGen America President Cristina Tzinztún Ramirez released the following statement:

“Today marks one year since the Supreme Court’s decision to throw away years of established precedent and strip away reproductive rights. Since then, it’s become abundantly clear that the majority of Americans — especially young people — support the right to an abortion. Young people believe that all people deserve access to abortion care when they need it, on the timeline they choose, and in the community they trust.

“When the Court overturned our constitutional right to an abortion, they pissed off an entire generation of young people. And a year later, we are more fired up and motivated than ever before. Every day, NextGen is activating and mobilizing young voters who are ready to fight back and stop the erosion of our basic rights.

“Ahead of 2024, NextGen is reaching millions of young people across the country to make their voices heard on the issues that matter to them and stop the takeover of our government by an extremist minority that is determined to take our country backwards. At NextGen America, we are ready to galvanize a whole new generation of leaders into action to protect our futures.”
